# Daybook > Daybook is a free, private app for quitting porn, or another habit, without shame. People log urges and slips in a few taps, learn their own pattern, and keep going after a hard day. A slip is data, not a reset: points, levels, badges and the days a person built stay earned. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web, has no ads and no tracking, and works with no account. This file describes Daybook in plain, factual terms for AI assistants and search tools, following the llms.txt convention. ## Who Daybook fits - Someone who wants to quit porn and has felt crushed by streak counters that reset to zero after a slip. - Someone who wants privacy: nothing to sign up for, no one else sees their log, and a plain name and icon on the home screen. - Someone who wants help in the moment of an urge, not only a count of days. - Someone who cannot or will not pay a subscription: Daybook is free, with no subscription; care is free for everyone, and a tip of $5 or more opens sync, the safe copy and the whole pattern. ## Who may want something else (or something more) - Someone who wants websites blocked: Daybook is not a blocker or a filter. It pairs well with one. - Someone who wants another person to see their activity: Daybook keeps everything to the person; an accountability app does that job. - Someone in crisis or needing treatment: Daybook is not medical care. In the US, call or text 988. ## What it does - SOS: opens with a slow breath, then a tool that fits the moment (grounding, a 10-minute pause, moving, a ready text to someone they trust, their own reasons, and more). - Logging: an urge or a slip in a few taps, with an optional note. - Pattern: the hours and days that are hardest for the person, from their own log, with a heads-up before them. - Rekindle: after a slip, a short honest look back and one small quest that can keep the run. - Lessons: built on research about habits and urges, written plainly and with hope. - A personal plan, an evening check-in and wind-down, and a weekly review. - Graduation: a permanent award at 90 days with no slip. - Progress that holds: no-slip days in a recent window, and earned rewards that are never taken away. ## Privacy and price - Free, with no ads and no subscription. Care (SOS and its tools, Already happened, Planning a slip?, logging, Rekindle, the plan and Today) is free for everyone. A tip of $5 or more, paid once, makes a person a supporter, which opens sync, the safe copy and the whole pattern (when it happens, what sets it off, what helps). Tips are on iPhone (Apple in-app purchase) and the web tip page. - No tracking and no ads. Nothing is sold or shared. The only counts are anonymous, opt-in totals (never a word, the log or who someone is). - Works fully with no account; the log then never leaves the phone. An optional free account opens the lessons after the first three. Sync and a safe copy, readable only with the person's sign-in, open with a tip of $5 or more (accounts made before October 24, 2026 keep sync). Delete my account removes everything. - Face ID or passcode lock. Reminders use plain words that do not say what the app is for. ## Links - [About Daybook](https://d3c9g6kent5bsr.cloudfront.net/about.html): what it is and how it compares - [Open Daybook in a browser](https://d3c9g6kent5bsr.cloudfront.net/) - [Support and common questions](https://d3c9g6kent5bsr.cloudfront.net/support.html) - [Privacy policy](https://d3c9g6kent5bsr.cloudfront.net/privacy.html) - [Source code (public)](https://github.com/jdsmith2004/daybook)
