Help and support
Daybook is a private, honest companion for quitting porn, or another habit, without shame. One person builds it, and every message is read.
Write to us
Say what you were doing, what you saw, and which phone you use. Please do not send your log or anything you would not want in an email; it is never needed to help you.
If you are in crisis
Daybook is not medical care and cannot answer in an emergency. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the US), or call 911. Outside the US, call your local emergency number.
Common questions
Is Daybook really free?
Yes. Everything for hard moments is free for everyone (SOS and its tools, logging, the plan, the lessons and Today), with no ads and no subscription. Tips keep it going, and a tip of $5 or more makes you a supporter, which opens a few extras: sync, a safe copy of your log and the deeper stats.
Do I need an account?
No. SOS, logging, Rekindle, your plan, the tools and Today all work without one, and then your log never leaves your phone. A free account opens the lessons after the first three. Sync and a safe copy of your log open with a tip of $5 or more, or for accounts made before October 24, 2026.
Who can see my log?
Only you. Without an account, it stays on your phone. With an account, it is stored under your own account and is sent only to you when you are signed in. It is never sold, shared, shown to anyone or used for ads. The privacy policy says exactly what is kept.
I slipped. Did I lose everything?
No. A slip is data, not a reset. Your points, levels, badges and the days you built stay yours. After a slip, Rekindle helps you look back honestly and take one small step, and Today shows what you kept.
How do I keep Daybook private on my phone?
Settings has a lock that asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when Daybook opens. The app's name and icon say only "Daybook", and reminders use plain words (like "Check in. Under a minute.") that never say what Daybook is for.
How do I change or stop reminders?
Open Settings, then Reminders, to turn each one on or off and set its time. Daybook skips a reminder on days you already did the thing, quiets one that is not helping, and goes quiet on its own if you stop opening it. To turn off all of them, use your phone's settings, under Notifications, then Daybook.
My reminders do not come.
Check that notifications are allowed for Daybook in your phone's settings, and that a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is not holding them. Open Daybook once after changing a setting, so it can plan its reminders again. Reminders work in the phone app; a web page cannot remind you once it is closed.
How do I move to a new phone?
Sign in on the new phone and your log comes with you, once your account syncs: sync opens with a tip of $5 or more, or for accounts made before October 24, 2026. No account yet? Make one on the old phone first (Settings, then Sync between devices), and once sync is open, everything you logged there goes with it.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. Daybook emails you a code to set a new one.
How do I delete my data or my account?
In Settings, Delete everything clears your log from the phone and your account. Your account keeps a copy for a week in case it was a mistake, and then it is gone. To remove your account itself, open Settings, then Sync, then Delete my account: it removes your sign-in, your records and that copy for good. You can also write to us and we will delete your account for you.
I left a tip by mistake.
Write to us within 30 days with the date and amount, and the tip will be refunded. A tip paid with Apple's in-app purchase is refunded by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I have an idea, or something looks wrong.
Please write. Ideas and honest criticism are how Daybook gets better, and they are read with thanks.
